Prototype Update: v0.0.6

A long weekend means a meaty update for Jung - v0.0.6 is live!

Some highlights from this week's update include:

  1. A new "run" system: Each consecutive victory increases the "difficulty modifier" by 10%. See how many wins you can pile up before the AI takes you down!
    1. Future updates to this system will support continuing runs between sessions. For now, ending the game ends your run.
  2. Multiple enemy decks: Each combat will pit you against one of four random enemy decks. Getting used to beating up on the same old opponent? This should freshen things up for you!
  3. A revamped tutorial: While there's more depth to cover, the new tutorial provides a lot more information about the game's systems and UI, which hopefully will make it easier to understand and enjoy.
  4. The card placement reticle has been revamped. Instead of "sticking" to valid targets, it now roams everywhere, but shifts from black to red when hovering invalid placement locations.
  5. Added support for fullscreen resolutions (though I still think the game looks and plays a bit nicer in a window :P)
  6. All new intro screen: Adding a bit more depth and character for our creature friends to run around in and enjoy
  7. All new credits screen: We just had to find a new home for our favorite little carousel of creature portraits!
  8. Cards have been revamped with a new design, and all attack and health figures have been increased by 10x (which helps the difficulty modifier system avoid too many decimal places)
  9. A backing music track! This is... very much in the works, and sound effects are high on the todo list as well. But for now, this is a nice little groove to tie things together.
  10. Tuned some cards
    1. The Giant was still a bit too giant. Reduced his HP and increased his cost.
    2. Fireballs were feeling a bit too expensive for their oomph, so we reduced their cost by 1.

I've gotten reports that fullscreen doesn't appear to work correctly for monitors that aren't 16:9 aspect ratio. Will look to get this fixed in the next update!
